Dr. Susan Maushart  is the author of six books, including the feminist classics The Mask of Motherhood and Wifework and the internationally acclaimed memoir The Winter of Our Disconnect.  A prolific independent audio producer, Susan's popular features, documentaries and podcast series for Australia’s national broadcaster (ABC Radio) explore topics ranging from sex and dating, to the benefits of boredom, to true crime.

Her lifestyle column in the Weekend Australian Magazine ran weekly for a legendary 12 years, and she has lectured in media at NYU, Fordham and Curtin University of Technology. Susan has appeared as a commentator on The Today Show, Lateline, CNN, Fox & FriendsToday/Tonight, the BBC, NPR and in publications ranging from Family Circle and Parents to the Huffington Post and The Guardian. As a consultant content creator and copywriter, she specialises in parenting, digital well-being and technology education. Susan has three adult children and an unseemly number of grandchildren. A native New Yorker, she lives in Fremantle, Western Australia.
